Unlined stoves
Our sweeping service for unlined stoves ensures your heating system operates safely and efficiently. We carefully remove soot and debris from your chimney and appliance to prevent chimney blockages and reduce the risk of fires. Special attention is given to unlined flues and cleaning behind the register plates and above the appliance canopy to prevent soot buildup.
This service suits residential properties with unlined stoves and helps maintain optimal performance and safety. This is defined as multi-fuel stoves and wood burners installed into masonry flues without a modern solid fuel liner.
This service consists of:
- Comprehensive safety inspection
- Ensuring compliance with current building regulations (Document J Building Regs)
- Protective sheeting and measures to control dust and soot
- Complete chimney sweep
- Cleaning above fireplace canopy
- Cleaning and testing of the appliance/system setup
- Basic stove maintenance (major repairs may incur additional costs; see our Stove Maintenance section for details)
- Expert advice on reducing future soot buildup and using your appliance for maximum efficiency and safety
Price £85
Work will be undertaken to the standards of The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. Once payment has been received, an insurance industry-recognised Certificate of Sweeping from The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps will be issued.
Each additional chimney (of a similar size) in the same property will be £60.00.
Any additional work undertaken to remove blockages, e.g., bird nests or stove repair, will be charged extra.
For properties taller than two storeys, a service charge of £5 will be added per extra storey.
