Birds nest removal

Our bird nest removal service ensures your chimney is cleared of any nests, restoring proper airflow and reducing the risk of dangerous chimney fires. Removing bird nests is a delicate and labor-intensive job, typically taking 2.5 to 3.5 hours to ensure complete safety and compliance. We thoroughly remove all debris, soot, and combustible material from your chimney to guarantee it is fully functional before use.

Bird nest removals are crucial for maintaining safe chimney ventilation and preventing blockages, which could lead to chimney fires. To ensure your chimney is fully safe, our service includes a CCTV inspection to assess the blockage, followed by a full sweep to clear the chimney and a post-removal CCTV inspection to confirm that the flue is operational.

If a live bird nest is found, we will follow the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, which prohibits the destruction of live nests. In such cases, the nest will not be removed until it is no longer active. However, if the nest is uninhabited, we will promptly remove it and sweep the chimney.

Our bird nest removal service includes:

  • Thorough safety inspection of the chimney
  • CCTV inspection to assess the nature of the blockage
  • Safe removal of the inactive bird nest
  • Full chimney sweep to remove soot, debris, and combustible materials
  • Post-removal CCTV examination to confirm the chimney is clear and safe
  • Cleaning and testing of the appliance/system setup (where applicable)
  • Stove maintenance (major repairs will incur additional charges)
