Pre-installation/flue closure sweep

Our chimney sweeping service thoroughly removes soot, debris, and blockages from your chimney to prepare it for installing a flue or permanent closure. This ensures a clean, safe environment for upcoming work and prevents future issues. Whether installing a new flue or sealing off the chimney, our service provides the space that is appropriately cleaned and ready for the next step.

Prior to any new appliance installation the flue should be swept and tested. This ensures the flue is free of soot deposits and debris. In the event a flue is to be decommissioned, the flue should be swept. Included within this
service is a CCTV examination of the flue.

This service consists of:

• A thorough safety inspection
• Installation of sheeting and protective measures to control dust and soot
• Full sweep
• CCTV examination

 

Price £150

 

Work will be undertaken to the standards of The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. Once payment has been received, an insurance industry-recognised Certificate of Sweeping from The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps will be issued.

Any work undertaken to remove blockages, e.g. bird nests, etc, will be charged extra.
