Standard size gas fire

Our sweeping service for standard-sized gas fires ensures safe and efficient operation by removing soot, debris, and blockages from the flue. Regular maintenance reduces the risk of carbon monoxide buildup and chimney fires. Suitable for residential properties with gas fire installations, this service maintains the optimal performance of your heating system.

Some flues serving gas fires can be swept without disconnecting the appliance. If disconnection is required, the client must arrange it before a suitably qualified engineer is appointed.

If the client cannot determine whether disconnection is required, this should be communicated to us at the time of booking. The client can then provide photographic information concerning the appliance.

Note – we do not service or re-fit any gas appliances.

This service consists of:

• A thorough safety inspection
• Ensuring installation conforms to current regulations (Document J Building Regs)
• Installation of sheeting and protective measures to control dust and soot
• Full sweep
• Clean and test the appliance/set up.

 

Price £80

 

Work will be undertaken to the standards of The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. Once payment has been received, an insurance industry-recognised Certificate of Sweeping from The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps will be issued.

Any additional work undertaken to remove blockages e.g bird nests or stove repair, will be
charged extra.

For properties taller than two storeys, a service charge of £5 will be added per extra storey.
